Northern Maine Community College’s Commercial Driving Academy is a State of Maine licensed tractor-trailer driving school. This 8 week, 230 hour course is designed to train you to become a professional truck driver.  Teaching proper safety practices is a high priority at NMCC. Individuals will be trained how to focus and avoid accidents or damaging cargo. Classroom instruction will include log books, trip planning, handling hazardous materials, and other endorsements for your commercial driving license (CDL). You will gain “hands-on the wheel” experience on the driving range and the road.   NMCC’s Commercial Driving Academy provides a prospective commercial driver with the training necessary to skillfully operate a tractor and trailer.
 
Possible Endorsements include Hazardous Materials, Tank Vehicle, and Double/Triple Trailer.
